Given as the Address by Michael Ayers at Divine Service at Tonbridge Spiritual Centre at Hadlow in Kent on Sunday, 1^st September 2013

“Love is the currency of our Creator.  We were all made in love with love.  We were given life in love with love and we are here on this earth plane, because we chose to come away from that land that many people call ‘Heaven’, but we call it the Spirit World, call it what you will, it’s the next dimension that we go back to and the currency there is love.

“This world is attacking us all the time with negativity and all the emotions, which can only be healed with love.

“If you look at the Middle East, there is no love.  You have people who hate each other, who will do anything they can to hurt and maim and kill each other.

“Many come from the same religious beliefs and there are extremists in those beliefs, as there are in all religions, because people take the extremes too far and forget the fundamental roots are made in love.

“Some two thousand years ago, a man came down to this earth plane to walk the land of Galilee and to preach love and peace and to show the way that was in our hearts we can make heaven ourselves on earth.

“If we live in love and if we believe, if we really believe, that there is more to being down here than the cold earth or the hot fire when we go - this body serves us well.  Your car, I hope, serves you well, but you don’t intend keeping that for an eternity.  It gets tired and it gets worn out.

“What we have to do is to live in love and to remember that that is the cure of all things which we don’t like – fear, hate, all emotions that we don’t like, are negative and anti-love.

“Our job here is to unconditionally love all those around us, whatever they do and, wherever we can, to be peace makers.  They are in short supply at the moment.  There seem to be more people who want to go to war than who want to make peace.

“Think of the words that have brought us to this point in the service, about Jesus and peace and raising it up, because we are human and we were given free will, which means that we can choose, between right and wrong, between good and evil, whether we will help that old lady who has just fallen down or we are too busy and must rush on.

“We have a choice and when we make the wrong choice we tend to wish that there was somebody who could carry us and to guide us and to make sure that we make the right choice.

“We all know many people who rush through their lives in fear and uncertainty, who don’t know what is round the corner and they dread what it might be and we all know, I hope, many people who have faith that there is a Higher Power.

“That people like Jesus, who came down to talk to us and to show us the way and many prophets came.  He was perhaps the greatest, but they all came down to put us back on track and that is what we, as individuals, always need.

“A guiding hand, a direction, an inspiration to see what we didn’t see before – the gateway.  The times when you stop and say, “Okay, I’m in your hands.”

“We have all got guides, who are all angels.  There is Jesus.  There is a whole host of heaven out there willing to help us and show us what to do, but we have to ask and we have to believe that they will be there and give us the right advice.

“We are brought up as children, aren’t we?  “Do you believe in fairies?”  Do you believe in goodness?  Do you believe in heaven?  Do you believe in Jesus?  Do you believe that we were created or was there just a big bang and this mess just suddenly fell out of the sky?

“If there is no Higher Intelligence we are all in a great deal of trouble and it’s all of our own making, because you can’t blame anybody else.  Mankind has brought us to this dreadful instability.

“It’s centred now on the Middle East, where all the countries of the world could be drawn in and annihilate this glorious globe and all it stands for.

“We are told that won’t happen, so don’t worry yet, but Mankind is going to be taught a big lesson.  There are things already happening around the world; things that people aren’t taking notice off.

“The floods in Russia and China and throughout the Far East, fires ravaging western America, snow in the South American deserts.  This climate change is happening and nobody is doing anything about it.

“Think about it.  Send out your thoughts.  Hope people will come to their senses before it’s too late, because we live in a land, a spiritual land, of love.

“We are only down here for a short time, so let us do the very best that we can.  Let us love everybody.  Help to stop the hatred.  Help to stop the differences and be more tolerant and whenever we can, let us try and be the peacemaker, because it all helps.

Given as the Address by Michael Ayers at Divine Service at Crawley Spiritualist Church at Gossops Green in West Sussex on Sunday, 7^th July 2013

“You need not worry that you are being singled out.  There are people all around the world, who are doing their best, but they are a small percentage of the whole.

“Those who keep up with world affairs will see a continuous stream of things that are abominable in the eyes of God, but obviously not in the eyes of all men, women and children.

“These happen on all levels from the bullying in the local school to the abuse of women in Muslim Countries and in the East, in India, where you remember that soul who was gang raped on a bus and the harshest sentence of the seventeen year old for murder, for rape and for kidnapping and other things is three years in detention.

“What support do those women in India feel?  How safe are they?  Here in Gossops Green, I hope, you feel safe and secure, but not everything is right in this country, in Europe or in the World.

“We must all find ways to listen to what the Lord Jesus taught – not what men in pulpits are saying that he said.  Not to be guided under this umbrella of religion, which is a method of conserving power and riches for a few.

          “There are vast millions in the Vatican and look at the Catholic countries where the poor children are living in squalor and poverty.  It is not for me to judge, but the balance does seem to have gone a little the wrong way.

          “I hope we would all stop if we saw someone in need on the side of the road, like the Samaritan did, but perhaps we could spend a little more time exploring the teachings of the Master Jesus, who died not for our sins, because if we commit sins we have to face those ourselves.

“That is propaganda on the highest level that if you believe in him and wear the cross, which is emblematic of the torture that he suffered, that does not seem right to me, but what is important is the words that he spoke.

“He spoke of love, of peace, of harmony, of helping people, of doing your bit, doing what you can.  I don’t see that coming from the Synagogues, or the Mosques or the Churches.

“The Spirit that was Jesus has been driven out.  If you are sensitive, as I am sure you all are because this is a Spiritualist Church, you will be able to go into those places and feel whether there is Spirit there, whether the love of Christ is spoken and enacted right the way through in truth and honesty.

“The love that he spoke about is not without.  It is within.  God our Father gave us a conscience, so that we would know right from wrong.  That is not without.  That’s within.

“All the progress we can make towards a good place in the next dimension comes from inside us.  I hope you all will find that place, that peace and that love and share it with others; so that more can understand what Jesus died for, which was to show us, very clearly and very publically, that life is eternal.

“This is not just a bus stop down here for seventy years.  This is a learning place. 

“If we get it right and help others and move on, we will be continuing our life and moving on and helping in the next dimension and the dimension after that and on and on and on until, I hope, we all become pure, holy and good enough to join with the Creator that gave us life in the first place.

“It is like a droplet of water in the ocean or like a grain of sand in the desert, where we are as good as all those around us and we become as one with the Higher Intelligence of the whole Universe.

“Lost, stolen or strayed, spring this year seems to have been mislaid and while we are freezing in the sub-zero temperatures, with snow blessing the snowdrops and as always happens when the daffodils come out, they are always bowed down with the weight of the frozen rain.

“I was moved this morning to do something I rarely do and that was to put the Radio on when I was in the kitchen and I heard the announcement that it was Palm Sunday today.

“Sorry, it wasn’t in my diary, but it is a very important day and I reflected that the temperatures in the Middle East two thousand years ago would have been slightly warmer than there were around us today.

“But you know, when I listened to the Reading of the words of Jesus from the Bible on that Radio this morning, I couldn’t help reflecting, not for the first time, on how this Man was not only a Great Healer, but a great Teacher.

“He was also a great Clairvoyant Medium of the highest calibre.  When you read his words, or you listen to his words, imagine him as a Medium receiving information.

“How else does he know that the Colt was there and would be tied up?  His guide, however lofty compared to ours, knew that information and not only told him that the Colt, that had never been ridden, was there, but was tied up in this village.

“He was also able to tell his disciples, who he sent to get it, that if they were stopped and asked what they were doing taking this Colt away, all they had to say was that, “The Lord had need of it.”

“And this is what happened and this is what was so often true, that if we allow Jesus into our lives and today we have all been singing and praying about the Lord, about Jesus, about healing coming to us and I just wonder, “Lost, stolen or strayed, for so many people his teachings certainly have been mislaid.”

“Think what he taught in the Middle East two thousand years ago and look at it today, still on the brink of war between the Nations.  Between the Israelis, who believe that they are God’s chosen people and the Arabs all around them, who have Mohammed as their representative, their guide.

“Jesus was a Holy Man, Mohammed was a Holy Man and they both taught us how to live our lives in LOVE and yet throughout the world ‘love’ is not a word that is understood.

  “To so many is it about feeling physically for somebody.  Love is about a mental understanding of what you can give to another, who has need.

“Look at the good people throughout the world, throughout the ages.

“I was moved by the new Pope, although I am not a Catholic and I abhor the wealth that they have taken from the people to adorn their palaces and their clothes and their whole philosophy of “We must have, because we represent God and therefore we must dress up and look this sort of theatrical part.”

“The people, who they have got the money from around the world, are in poverty.  They are lacking shoes for the children.  They are lacking water.  They are lacking the basic needs and yet here in Rome is the great wealth, the Great Bank if you like, of the Vatican.

“You can think what you will, as somebody said to me the other day, “We are all entitled to our opinions.”

“So we are, but I was moved that the new Pope took the name of Francis in memory of Francis of Assisi, who worked for the poor.  Let us hope that Jesus is able to guide him, so that the wealth of Catholicism can be used for the people who need it.

“Not for the overdressed and pompous Bishops, but the people on the shop floor, so to speak, who have to go without so much.

“This service tonight, as I mentioned earlier, has had the theme of Jesus right through it and I would just like to say, “That what we must all do, if we are going to progress in our lives, is to love the teachings of this wonderful Clairvoyant Medium and Healer, who was sent to us two thousand years ago to set an example of what life is all about.”

“He died on the Cross at Easter.  You all know that, but how many of us know why he died?

“Not for the Sins of the World as the Churches will tell you, because no-way can you be let-off before we go into the next world from the mistakes and errors that you have made.  Nobody on Earth can do that.

“He died to prove in front of everybody that life is Eternal, which is why after three days he came back so dramatically and showed himself.

“He continued to come back and if we believe the spiritual truths and enact them in our lives, we are certainly on a different pathway to what we are taught by the Religious Houses, who seem to have lost the Philosophy of Spirit within their organisations.

“I would just say to you finally, “Belief in Jesus is not essential, to know the Master Jesus is the importance of knowing Spiritual Life and God himself.”

“Be careful what you fear.  We all have fears.  The only way to happiness is to let those fears go.  They are not worthy of you.  They are negative and hurtful.

“The only emotion that should be in your heart is that of love.  Love is the highest attainment that you can produce on this earth plane.

“Love of others, love of your family, love of yourself but without the ego, love of those who have passed, love of those who are still to come and love of those who are all around you, wishing you well and hoping to guide you to a better way of life – to choose the right pathway whenever your road diverges.

“You have choices to make.    You have a conscience within you that tells what is right and what is wrong.  Many can’t stand their conscience within and they turn their back on it and they behave so badly.

“This is not your problem.  It is theirs, because they have to realise that one of these days the Great Father, the Creator, the one who is love and wisdom in such a way that we can never understand the size and the might of his love.

“He will call for all of us to be accountable and we will be asked, in the nicest possible way, what we did with our time on this earth plane?  Did we make a difference?

“Did we help people?  Did we work for the Greater Good or did we look to pocket for ourselves, to build up, as Jesus put it, riches upon earth and have nothing to go to when we leave here.

  “What is the point of being down here, like bankers?  What is the point of them having all this money and what do they do with it?  They begat more money and more money!

“Around the world there are people crying out for bread, for water, for peace and for love.  There are so many who live in their ivory towers, secluded against the emotions of the world.  They never experience love!

“How can they?  Their lives are material.  They turn their backs on the Great Creator who made us and all that he stands for – the spirituality, the peace, the comradeship between people, the sharing. 

“Turn you back on that and what you have!  It is an emotional vacuum, which presumably these people can only fill with their greed and corruption.

“I feel so sorry for them, because when they come to account, their books are going to be empty.  I am sure that all of ours will have lots written in, so keep doing the good things.

“They are being recorded for when we leave this wet and soggy place and move on to the great light and sunshine of the next world, we will have decided by what we did here where we go and how much light and love there is, as opposed to those who will be in the grey and the darkness, who will have to learn to feel sorry for others and not just to think about themselves.

“Until they turn to that Great Light of Love, which is there for us all, they will be cold and dark and miserable and with a bit of luck, we shall be up in the Summerland, where the grass is green and the rivers flow and there are other people who are on the same wavelength as we are and we can join together and say thank you to our Creator for making it possible for us to be there.

“Together there will be a mighty shout, I know!  We all come together in same thinking.  “All the problems I have on the earth plane are now nothing.  I overcame them with your help and the help of my guides and loved ones and here I am.  God bless you God.”

“Whatever you like to call him, he is a Spirit.  He is a great intelligence.  He is the boss.  He is the one in charge – not us!  We follow where we are led, because if we turn away and think we know better it is a sad state of affairs.

“So let us be joyful and happy about what we do and to make others happy and to let them know that we know that the love of God is a wonderful thing.

 “Let joy abound.  If you are not happy, are you not dark within yourselves?  Is it not the lack of light that keeps you in the Darkness of Ignorance?

“Allow yourselves to smile.  Allow yourselves to be happy that you are not alone and that there are many, many people, who love you.  There are many people on this Earth who love you and you don’t even know they do.

“There are many people all around you, who have walked these paths and who have fallen into the pits of despair and who have had problems, just as you do.

“They too are all around you.  Those people, who have gone before us have to understand their lives, what they got right and what they got wrong.

“Recently a guide told us that it is not all about getting it right all the time, because we all get things wrong and as long as we learned from those things that we got wrong, then that’s alright, as long as we haven’t hurt anybody in the process.

“Learn from the good, from the difficult and the bad, from the not so easy.  All around us there are lessons to be learned.

“This world is going through a traumatic change.  It is almost as if our God Creator has said, “That is enough!  You have got it so wrong that you need a lot of help.”

“That help is being given now, because the energies from On High are coming down and are cleaning out the corruption, the wickedness and the self-opinionated.

“Those who have broken the Laws of this land and of Heaven; they are being cleaned and swept away.  They are very frightening times.

“You have to believe that you are going to be alright.  Do the people in Palestine think they are going to be alright?

“They are petrified with bombs falling all around, the treat of troops coming in – the only land and home that they have got being taken away.  The misery that they are forced to live in.

“It is not for me to judge one side from the other, but it does seem sometimes some people are trying to get over the holocaust and are inflicting it on somebody else.

“We all have to understand our own way – the true way.  We are given the gift to create thought.  Put those thoughts out to the people around the world, for the flowers, the forests and the animals that are being destroyed.

“They were given to us for a reason, because they hold medicine and oxygen – they clean the air, they produce what we need, they give us the protection around the Earth of the Ozone, so that the sun doesn’t burn us to bits.

“This is disappearing and the ice melts and nobody seems to be worried – just a few people here and there, who have green thoughts, green fingers and green minds.

“The people who can make the changes, the Governments and the politicians, what have they done in the years that have just gone?  Is anybody trying to stop this holocaust?

“That I doubt, but I do know one thing and that is that there is a great Power that looks over us and as long as we turn towards that Power and we allow that Power to put things right, Man’s mind will turn and the Earth will survive.

“It’s a beautiful abundant planet and I don’t want to have my signature on the death certificate of this wonderful life that I have been given on this earth plane.

Given as the Address by Michael Ayers at Divine Service at Tonbridge Spiritual Centre at Hadlow in Kent on Sunday, 23^rd September 2012

“If you have been taking notice of what has been happening in the last twenty minutes since half past six, one word has been mentioned in every section of the service. 

“That word is love.  I am not going to disappoint you by talking about anything else.

          “I am going to start by telling you something that you don’t know, which I always think is a good idea.

          “Several years ago in the previous decade, today on bended knee I proposed to Jenny and she accepted me, otherwise we would not be here tonight.

“I mention this not to just show off that I am acceptable and loved, but to say to you, “Anniversaries – they are so very important.” 

“Don’t let your anniversaries slide away.  Remember them.  Your life here is made up of a sandwich of two anniversaries.

“Both of them are births.  We are born into this life.  We are born into the next life and in-between, there are a whole number of anniversaries, which you must remember and keep.  These are the milestones of your life.

“When you go through your second birth into Spirit, everybody can see you as spirit.  You are seen for what you are.  You are seen for what you have achieved.  You are known for what you have done.

“You don’t want to go up there and people think, “Is that all you did?”

“How terrible that would be.  If you achieved so little on this earth plane that people looked, I don’t think they would mutter and turn away, but they would certainly be sad.

“Our Lord Jesus is sad when we make mistakes.  He doesn’t condemn us.  He knows what it is like on this earth and he had to put up with all the difficulties that there are on this earth plane.

“I find it very difficult to think of anything, any of these difficulties that are not caused by Man.

“It’s no good talking about the volcano that goes off and kills people, the mud slide that comes down, the racket your neighbour makes.  Everything is down to the way that Man, as an individual or as a member of Mankind, behaves.

“The world is in a terrible mess – the stripping of the forests and the oceans and the lands and all the things that we were given to make our life pleasurable and happy and safe - the food and the water.

 “Jenny and I saw a First Nation American in Slovenia at a conference, which we were attending and one of the things he said, which I shall never forget, was that “One day, my father has told me, Man will even make you pay for water!”

“What are we doing with all those plastic bottles, but buying water because we don’t trust the quality of the water elsewhere.

“Now I started by saying that I was going to talk to you about love and I am now being negative and talking about the things that need putting right and in order to put them right we need love.

“I am going to talk for a moment, if you young people will forgive me, about four letter words – three four letter words: LOVE, HATE and FEAR.

“Those are the three biggest energies on this planet.  There is love, which is relatively small.   I am sure you all know it.  It is there and you also know fear and you know hate.

“The only thing that can remove fear and hate is love.

“Look at the Middle East – a classical example of fear and hate.  You don’t need to think of any particular nation, you can go to any one of them.  It is fear and hate that they are made up of – not love.

“Religions through the ages preach love and carry on with fear and hatred – hatred of other doctrines, fear that the congregations won’t come and they won’t do what they are told.

“Jesus came and he brought us love.  He demonstrated love to us in all that he did and all that he went through and he did much better than we will ever do, but that should not stop us from trying.  Try and bring love as your first emotion.

“When somebody pulls out in front of you when you are going down the road, don’t yell and scream and shout and hoot or whatever.  Think love.  He didn’t hit you, you didn’t hit him.  It was alright. 

“Why did that person do it?  Was he rushing off to see his mother, who had just fallen down the stairs?  We don’t know why…

“We know we are too busy to say that it was a stupid thing to do, but how are we to know that in similar circumstances we might have done the same or done worse.

“We all make mistakes. We all need that energy, which hopefully stirs us at least once in our lives of love.  It should be there all the time.

“We should be born to a mother who loves us and who we love and the family is looked after by the father, who we love and who loves us.  Through all the various stages of life, there should be love in its many, many forms.

“It is not only physical.  It is mental.  It is an energy and that energy is the biggest gift that God can give and he brings it into each and every one of us.

“It is up to us to use it and to expand it and to remove fear from our lives, to remove hatred from our lives and to allow everybody to see that we depend on love and by sharing and loving, the world would be a happier and a better place for us all.

Given as the Address by Michael Ayers at Divine Service at Crawley Spiritualist Church at Gossops Green in West Sussex on Sunday, 10^th June 2012

“Children of God don’t be frightened by the words that have been read to you tonight (see Philosophical Readings at this site), but know that you are loved and that the Father Creator loves each and every one of his creations and that you are all good in his eyes.

          “You are spirit in human form and in that human form you make mistakes and errors and if you did not, you would already be part of the Godhead and a part of the creative process.

          “We are all here to learn lessons to move us along our progressive path, to make us better, to make us more understanding of the problems that other people face.

          “I am sure that you have all noticed that there times when people are in difficulty and you just don’t know what to say.

“There is a quietness within you and there are no words and that is nearly always because you haven’t had to go through what they are going through at that moment in time.

          “If you look at those people’s lives and compare them, you will find that the opportunities for learning and progression are very much the same.

“It doesn’t matter, in the spiritual sense, if one person has a great fortune, which they inherit and they may live in a big house and they may have servants.

“They may even be in charge of countries and people.  For those people, the lessons that they need to learn should weigh very heavily on their shoulders.

“When one comes into this world with advantage, one has to be responsible for the weight that that carries.  For most of us, we come in on a lower plane.

“We may think of ourselves as the little people, looking up at so many more, who know so much more, who are more powerful and who think they have all the answers.

“But very often they don’t know what is going on within.  If you look at the troubles of this world today, can you see God in the hearts of most of the people?

“In the banks, high up in the churches, high up in the Governments, the people in Europe, who are making decisions that are all going to affect our future.

“Can you really believe that they know about God, about the Great Universal Intelligence, about the things that we know?  Haven’t we more advantages than they have?

“Aren’t our shoulders a little lighter?  Are we going to turn in these difficult times ahead and survive and many of those, who will see the problems, who only want things for themselves and their own aggrandisement, who will turn themselves away, as they always have done, from the light and wisdom of the Godhead.

“They will not survive.  They will, in Biblical terms, perish.  In spiritual terms, they will leave this earth plane and find the darkness that they have brought upon themselves.

“But I want to leave you with some happier words, because we all chose the place where we go.  If you lead a life of darkness and don’t give a fig for others, then you are going to end up in the darkness of ignorance and have to fight, metaphorically, your way back into the light.

“We are all here because we believe and we have a greater or a lesser understanding, but all of you know you are where you are meant to be and, if you keep trying, you will end up where you are meant to be in the light and the love of the Spirit and to see all those who went before you and all those who came after, as long as you share love in our Father Creator.
